TIME

It’s Tuesday Poetics at dVerse, and
Lillian has asked us to choose a line from
The Ecclesiastes quote “For every thing
There is a season"
Submitted to dVerse Tuesday Poetrics

“…a time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together”

The autumn of life is upon me
time to reflect on that which has been
and that which is to come
time to cast away the stones of
old grudges, old misdeeds and lost opportunities
Time to gather the stones of happy memories
of loved ones, good friends, babies birthed and raised,
challenges met and conquered,  time to
reflect on the faces of lives touched along the way.
a time for peace and a grateful heart.

  1. I adore this! In my seventh decade, I identify with this...absolutely. Thankful for every day. No time to ponder grudges, or read a book that I abhor after the first 6 pages, or be with people who are negative. Time to live, love and laugh and be thankful for every moment we've had, have, and will have. :)

  5. How interesting that you chose this one also. Our thoughts are very similar in nature. Gathering stones of loved ones as we age! I love it!

  10. It is good to cast away those stones of old grudges perhaps wondering why one carried them for so long.
