****************

back yard entertains
visitors at the feeder
show no social distancing

cardinal flashes red
finches show sunshine yellow
jay adds shades of blue

squirrels check peanuts
all gone, all gone they chatter
we say come by tomorrow

no need for movies
we have a private showing
daily dawn to dusk

  3. This is beautifully written, Beverly. I love this piece! It has such positive imagery and it delineates the enjoyment of watching nature at its element. I see the appeal to bird-watching. Aren't birds just beautiful and interesting?

Anyway, fantastic poem here! Thank you for sharing.

  5. Such a beautiful movie showing which never ends amidst the shrieks and the shouts of little creatures. Lots of movements and lots of colours! Great sequential progress, indybev!

  8. I like the reference to the pandemic in the first haiku, Bev, which made me smile, and the vivid colours in the second one. Hoorah for the private showings in our parks and gardens!

  12. My family has a garden like this, full of birds, butterflies, caterpillars, and other creatures daily! The squirrel knows better than to come back to our yard, though...
