the word “still” or a form thereof.

*************

After all this time
you visit me still
in my dreams.
I hear you chuckle,
calling me Bay-Be
in the old teasing way.
Wrapped in your arms
once again,  I am loved
and secure.
I  don’t want to wake up
and be alone again.

The stillness of night
Opens memory’s doorway
And there we meet again

  1. I like those lines: I  don’t want to wake up
and be alone again. so it is with those we love who have gone before.

  2. For some of us, too many loved ones only visit us as phantoms in our dreams. Very sweet, sad & nostalgic.

    Opens memory’s doorway

How nice to 'be with a loved one' where the warmth is still sustaining!
