REVERIE

 REVERIE

Calmed by its burbling waters

I lie me down beside the creek

Green tendrils gently enfold me

Wrapped and rapt in the peace I seek.

  1. I like this Bev. Well written. I am trying to find inspiration from this piece, but Frida’s work doesn’t speak to me. Oh well, it spoke to you, and you had a great response. 🙂

    1. Frida's work isn't a favorite of mine either, Rob, but this one seemed somehow peaceful. Interesting to see the "take" of others.

  3. I had to look twice to decide whether that was waves or dirt behind her. For inspiration, I think it works either way!

    1. I never once saw it as dirt...it was always water for me. Interesting how we each see and interpret differently.

  10. A peaceful write, Bev.
"Wrapped and rapt in the peace I seek"
'leads me wanting never to get up' ??
I have fallen a few times and I just want to lay there
even though people are rushing in to help me get back up.

  11. Whether you lay or lie, it's nice others are eager to help, Jim!
