Sunday Muse #152
Furrowed brow, steely eyes
Maybe motivated, maybe wise
Missing two important components
Noticed early in a few scarce moments
Absent are all-important eye twinkles
Lacking as well must-have laugh wrinkles
Even though you’re pretty to see
You’re simply not the guy for me.
This poem is pure delight.
ReplyDeleteHad a good laugh as the poem came to a close. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing, NEXT!
ReplyDelete???
DeleteThis is so cute. I love the rhyming.
ReplyDeleteI think each of us has certain things we look for, either consciously or subconsciously in a partner. I like how you detailed what worked and what didn't work for you, Beverly.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree Beverly....we are on the same page. Love the beautiful flow of rhyme as always.
ReplyDeleteLuv that you chose the rhyming mode
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday Bev

much love...
But he is SOOOO DEEEEEP. (sorry) Loved this!
ReplyDeleteIf I were a girl he would not be my choice either. You are right with the smile, wrinkles and eyes. With mass mask wearing we are detecting smiles by eye twinkles. I have perfected eye rolling and raising. Same direction came fast, opposing directions is harder. Also hard is eye reflex motion training.

Oh, a picture holds a thousand no's when he's not the one. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe twinkling eyes would have to be a given. Great poem, Bev!
