Meet the Bar Thursday and our challenge is to consider a poem with the beat of a waltz. Easy as one, two, three! Submitted to dVerse May 20, 2021

One two three
Waltzing, said he
Seeming to float
Round the floor
One time more
Missing nary a note
Wrapped in her arms
Enfolded in charms
Cares of the world remote.
One two three

Dance is poetic, he wrote.
Dance is poetic and this poem is a dance! The perfect whirlwind romance :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely rhythm--definitely a waltz!
ReplyDeleteI love such a wonderful dance... if only we could.
ReplyDeleteYou really captured the beat, made me want to move my feet. Light, frothy and romantic; a fine job.
ReplyDeleteLove the dance as it brings the cares of the world away!
ReplyDeleteI am quite certain you danced many a waltz, beautifully gliding round the floor, secure in the arms of your lucky partner.
ReplyDeleteDance IS poetic.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the counting keeps the time in your poem, Bev, and the romance you captured with it. I haven’t danced for many years – my husband hates dancing.
ReplyDeleteA lovely poetic dance!
ReplyDeleteThis was excellent Bev. Very alive. I love the pic too. Well eritten my friend! 🙂
ReplyDeleteWrapped in her arms
ReplyDeleteEnfolded in charms
Cares of the world remote
