The Sunday Muse #174
I always wanted a special name
Like, for instance
Fibonacci’s sequence
Einstein’s theory
Newton’s law of gravity
Occam’s razor
or Murphy’s law
But, alas, I never was a cool cat
I’ve drifted from bar to bar,
seeking fame in a bottle.
one foot in a fairy tale
the other in an abyss
I think my mother knew
I wouldn’t be a famous puss
When she decided on my name
And called me ANONYMOUS
This is purrfection Bev!!! How creative & made me smile!!
ReplyDeleteMean kitty mom. I say the kitty should change names to something great.
ReplyDeleteAmazing take on the prompt photo, Beverly. Sometimes laying low isn't all bad.
ReplyDeleteParents sometimes don't realize what a bad name can do to a kid. One of our daughters is named "Peggy Sue" and she changed it to Susie, not officially, even to her teachers and the school. I am glad she did that, she has a lot of spunk and doesn't put up with too very much. There was once a popular song, "Peggy Sue," "Peggy Sue, Peggy Sue, I love you sooo much . . ." My song, "There Stands the Glass" was also popular, more so with the CW genre.
