***************
George was a farmer
A well-known charmer
Plenty rich
May was a looker
Hard-working hooker
Greedy bitch
Both perceived their catch
A natural match
For which?
***********
A lady was Mabel
Seemed to be able
Fred thought
She revealed on their dates
She’d all the good traits
He sought
And so they were wed
A bad day for Fred
He’s caught

Teehee. Poor Fred. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of Edgar Lee Masters 'Spoon River Anthology' So clever!
ReplyDeletePerfection--kicked booty on the prompt--you seem made for this form, & like me you did two of them; which I dig. You made it look effortless; nice work.
ReplyDeleteSo fun, Beverly. I agree with Glenn--this form is yours! You aced the meter, it was humorous and you doubled the fun. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOh, laughed out loud!
ReplyDeleteThese are sad, sad stories! Lots of fun. :)
ReplyDeleteTwo tales of romance. I like Fred. The perect woman, made to order
