The Sunday Muse #126, wherein we’re
To be inspired by the photo by
Brooke Shaden.
I dreamed I stood clothed in black lace
in a field of golden wheat
arms outstretched, pleading to be free
free of the miasma of life’s tragedies
free of divisiveness and hate
free of leaders speaking with forked tongues.
free of the dark entities that tested my soul.
I dreamed I heard a powerful voice
saying “I set you free”
and the cloud of darkness left me
evaporating beyond my outstretched arms
I dreamed……I dreamed……I dreamed
I watched it fade away into healing light…
and so it came to be.
There is power in the things we truly dream. This is lovely and inspiring Beverly!
ReplyDeleteWoah Bev! This is magnificent. Strong! It is time we are all set free from those lying greedy bastards we unwittingly let into the chambers of truth and justice. I will be raising and deftly wielding the weapon I have in hand — THE VOTE... ,dream dream dream — then do it! STRIKE! VOTE!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you solved your Blogger comment problem. So good to "hear" your voice!
DeleteOh I love that fading of darkness to light. I think all of our souls are more than ready for that, in this moment. Beautiful, Bev.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, Bev .... the Universe heard your plea, and so it was. Magic.
ReplyDeleteI watched it fade away
ReplyDeleteinto healing light…

Dreams unrealised can be so disheartening more so when it is felt so distinctly upon parting.Life is all the more interesting though! Lovely write Bev!

Viltures on the wire waiting for their prey to die. Not 24 hours after they had schemes.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to escape but family keeps us here.

I cannot use the new blogger to compose and post using my smart Android. Neither with Explorer but Mrs. Jim's new Windows with MS Edge is almost Marvelous!

Bev it seems you and I felt a need to surrender and cast the nightmares away. Beautifully written.
ReplyDelete"I watched it fade away into healing light… and so it came to be." - we can only hope!!!
ReplyDeleteAll you have to do is dream dream dream...la la la
ReplyDeleteWell, it takes perhaps more action than la la la, but holding on to positive thoughts keeps the boogey-man away!!
DeleteBeautiful. Action dreaming itself into being; one hopes that strength is born in the rest and remembrance of resistance.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good message, artfully worded.
